The London Gazette reported on Thursday 12 August, 2010 that Queen Elizabeth II of England graciously sanctioned the Appointment to the Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem to Worshipful Brother Gregory Jay Goodrich. Congratualtions to WB Goodrich! The Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem is an international Order of Chivalry with roots in the medieval past. While its beginnings are to be found in the work of medieval monastic knights known as the Knights Hospitallers, its present-day mission is to prevent and relieve sickness and injury, and to act to enhance the health and well-being of people of all races and creeds anywhere in the world. The tradition of involvement with the people of the Holy Land continues through the Order’s work with and support of The St John of Jerusalem Eye Hospital.
